Fleas are a common problem in Indonesian homes, especially those with pets. You may encounter problems with fleas even if you don’t have pets, if the previous owner of your property had cats or dogs. Fleas can also be carried on other animals (especially furry ones) such as rabbits, foxes, squirrels, rats, mice, and farm animals such as pigs.
As a parasite, the biggest concern about having fleas in your home or business comes from their bites. While these are not painful, they can cause uncomfortable itching or a reactive rash. Your pet may also develop an allergy to flea saliva.
